About Us

Economics and Finance Society BEA HKUSU (EFS) is one of the largest non-profit-making student-run organizations in The University of Hong Kong since its establishment in 1940. EFS aims at enhancing students’ interest in economics and finance and acting as a bridge between the School and students.

Last year, more than 2000 students have been enrolled as Members of our Society and this covers more than one-sixth of the students in The University of Hong Kong. This year, we will continue to put tremendous effort in organizing a plethora of Projects and Functions to promote general welfare among our valued Members and the general public.

The 77^th Inauguration Ceremony

The 77^th Inauguration Ceremony is the first Project of Economics and Finance Society BEA HKUSU (EFS) Session 2016-2017. The aims of the Project are to mark the commencement of the new Cabinet and officially introduce the new Cabinet to External Entities. This also marks the continuity of the Society, stepping into the 77^th year.

Theme

This year, our theme “Proceed with Direction, Pursue with Dedication” places emphasis on the ambition and devotion of the new Cabinet. With an explicit and distinct goal, our Cabinet strives to fulfill our commitment to excellence with a clear direction. Our theme object, compass, depicts that we will be resolute when holding different Projects and Functions meanwhile being dedicated to pay great effort to serve our valued Members in the coming year.
